I study the neural architecture and dynamics of human high-level cognition, with a focus on elementary mathematics. During my PhD with Stan Dehaene, I used continuous behavioral measures (trajtracker.com) and machine learning applied to MEG signals to characterize the processing stages of arithmetic calculations. As a postdoc with Josef Parvizi at Stanford, I am combining human intracranial recordings and electrical stimulation to study the brain networks engaged in mathematical reasoning.
