My main research goal is to understand how people acquire basic numerical abilities. More specifically, I am interested in studying the learning of Arabic numbers in young children and in adults with low literacy, and how it impacts on mathematics achievement and daily life. Recently, I have also studying simple calculation abilities, combining behavioral and eye-tracker data.
